Responsible for developing and executing strategies to support RSNA international goals including oversight of international Spotlight Courses (small, topic focused courses); governance and administration of international committees; and supervision of the International Affairs department staff.
Develops market research and analysis to provide recommendations for the expansion of RSNA Spotlight Courses and to identify opportunities for growth in various regions of the world. Works with volunteers and staff to identify meeting topics, locations, and audiences. Identifies appropriate business partners, develops business models and new revenue sources where appropriate.
Oversees implementation of RSNA Spotlight Courses held in all regions of the world. Manages course goals and budgets, directs execution, creates go to market strategy for new courses, and objectively evaluates completed courses.
Directs vendor selection process and oversees all partnerships related to Spotlight courses. Works closely with meetings and program services departments to organize and execute courses.
Supports corporate relations with local insight for securing sponsorship of Spotlight courses and assists with vendor management for local sales supports.
Oversees the development and administration of National and Regional Committees within the organization. Develops meeting agendas, materials, and other reports on international activities.
Works closely with Marketing, Corporate Relations, Membership, Meetings, Subscriptions, Programs, and other RSNA departments to maximize the impact of international initiatives including RSNA booth travel, joint symposia, and Country Presents during the RSNA annual meeting.
Manages co-sponsorship activities with other international organizations and meetings. Assists in leadership coordination and development of speakers, programs, and promotion.
Provides assistance and insight for the growth of RSNA international outreach initiatives.
Supervises and develops staff of the International Affairs department.
Develops and monitors RSNA budgets related to international activities.
Bachelor's Degree required
7 or more years of experience in international business, preferably in healthcare
Strong experience with planning and managing international meeting/event planning
Proven experience utilizing international market research and planning for decision making
Experience in financial modeling and budgeting
Prior experience with developing and managing a high performing team
Excellent diplomacy and cross-cultural communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including peers, direct reports, senior leadership, volunteers, and vendors
Experience with committee management
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced and flexible environment
International travel to various meetings required
Language skills preferred
