Work under the supervision of the Vice President, Security on regulatory issues and activities, special projects, events, and conference and meeting planning for the Public Safety and Security Committee.
Assists the Vice President, Security in serving as staff liaison to the Public Safety and Security Committee.
Monitors and reports on federal agency actions, programs, requirements and regulations affecting airports and the aviation industry regarding public safety and security.
Represents ACI-NA at industry and agency meetings on public safety and security issues.
Prepares and distributes to the Public Safety and Security Committee updates on relevant legislative and regulatory activities
Prepares and disseminates written correspondence, testimony, reports, surveys and other materials to the Public Safety and Security Committee, federal agencies and industry groups.
Responsible for conference planning, preparation and distribution of materials, and oversight of ACI-NA Public Safety and Security conferences.
Responds to ACI-NA Members, industry and federal agency inquiries on public safety and security issues.
Helps to develop and prepare policy positions, including developing background support and analysis, on public safety and security issues.
Organizes and participates in Committee meetings and conference calls, and prepares minutes.
Designs, administers and analyzes surveys on various public safety and security topics, prepares reports describing research results.
Responsible for preparing Departmental updates on public safety and security issues.
Coordinates public safety and security issues with other U.S. industry associations, organizations, and government entities.
Assists in updating and maintaining the ACI-NA website.
Performs other duties as assigned including coordination with other ACI-NA staff and Committees
Major aviation trade assoc. seeks staff support in regulatory and policy activities for public safety and security. Familiarity with aviation industry regarding these issues is essential. Must possess high level of customer service skills and enjoy working with a diverse membership base. Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills, and exp. with Windows software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) req. Should have regulatory compliance exp. and in dealing with top government and industry officials. 4-year degree required.
