The Government Relations Representative sets strategy to accomplish legislative and regulatory goals for construction trade association. Key issues involve infrastructure, tax, safety, labor management, regulatory reform and the environment.
Represents association before Congress and federal agencies. Manages strategic advocacy fund, legislative coalition, and PAC. Plans and implements grassroots lobbying campaigns, including annual Capitol Hill event. Writes for association's print and electronic publications. Responsible for responding to member and public inquiries, and makes presentations to members, state chapters, and industry groups. Acts as staff liaison to Government Relations and Political Action Committees.
Position requires three or more years of Hill, lobbying, and/or association experience. Some travel is required.
