Will serve as a liaison to the education program planning committees and will be responsible for planning, coordination, and the oversight of the organization's marketing plan. Position reports to the Director of Operations.
Candidate must be a strong leader, with experience organizing and directing volunteer groups and the ability to be creative, original and express ideas while engaging others. Prior experience in a health related, non-profit field is a plus. Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently, multi-task, be detail oriented, and work well with sometimes tight deadlines. Requires a bachelor's degree in a health related field, business, hospitality management or other related field from an accredited institution. At least 3 years of experience working in a health related field, business, hospitality management or other related field and at least 3 years in a leadership role. Event planning a plus as well as experience with the use of Microsoft Office. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills. Travel required: up to 30%.

Founded in 1969 in Richmond, Virginia by Drs. David Hume and Bernard Amos, SEOPF gave rise to UNOS and now has become AFDT. AFDT's services includes: procurement billing, David Hume award, educational programs for transplant professionals, and insurance for transplant professionals and living kidney donors.
