GENERAL SUMMARY: The Member Services Specialist provides superior, accurate and timely comprehensive customer care to members, customers, prospective members, chapters, meeting attendees, Association leadership, staff and business partners. Provides internal and external support and services related to membership, conference registration, association resources and general information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to calls, email, and website inquiries with timely, accurate assistance.
Maintains Association’s membership database ensuring integrity of data with accurate updates performed on a timely basis.
Coordinates conference and program set-up.
Develop, produce and distribute reports and lists for association staff and chapters. This includes monthly membership reports, event registration reports, historical registration data reports, website demographic reports, and the Association leadership directory. Prepares and/or trains team members to produce other reports as needed.
Coordinates the Membership renewal process and related checks.
Performs other administrative functions, as necessary, to meet and achieve Association organizational goals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
We're looking for someone with one to three years of experience in member/customer service role within an association. Experience working with a relational database (iMIS preferred) and previous experience with report writing tools. Must have experience with MS Office and a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro software. Ability and desire to learn new software or web-based systems needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, customer service and analytical skills required.
