The American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) is seeking a full-time Membership and Meetings Associate for its national headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to gain experience with a non-profit organization. The position reports to the COO and focuses on membership, meetings and logistics, and marketing for the Society, along with critical administrative responsibilities. AUGS is looking for someone who is customer-focused, tech savvy, organized, professional and hard working.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Membership and Administration (50%):
Serve members and other external customers via phone and email
Manage the membership application and renewal process
Manage the annual call for volunteers application and selection process
Support the Staff Accountant with documentation of revenue received and process invoices and checks
Meetings and Logistics (25%):
Manage registration for AUGS’ Annual Scientific Meeting (Pelvic Floor Disorders Week), FPMRS Update Course, Advance Practice Provider Course, Fellows Cadaver and Robotics Courses; set-up registration, deploy, and generate reports.
Maintain the patient and annual scientific meeting mobile applications
Support social media efforts via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or relevant field required
Customer service focus and experience working with volunteers and/or customers
Strong writing, verbal and interpersonal skills
Familiarity and/or interest in website content editing and database management
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time, and reprioritize as necessary
Able to thrive in a small staff, team environment
