The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) is seeking a staff accountant that will report directly to the controller and work closely with the senior accountant. This is a key position in the four person Finance/Accounting team. We are looking for an individual who is experienced in not-for-profit accounting and possesses strong problem solving skills, work ethic, organizational skills and attention to detail. This position interacts with most of the organization so the ability to work well with others is paramount. Responsibilities include, accounts payable process including 1099 reporting, petty cash fund, primary accounting support for affiliated NCPA Innovation Center and NCPA Foundation, financial administration for the NCPA PAC, monthly bank reconciliation for main bank account, support for year-end audit with external auditors, corporate credit card administration and assisting with other miscellaneous accounting projects.

Education & Skills
The candidate must have a minimum of an AA in accounting with at least 2 years of experience working in A/P along with the knowledge of prepaid accounts and accrued payables, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics SL and be comfortable working in Excel as well as having experience working with not-for-profit accounting. Excellent oral and written communications skills a plus along with experience with concur expense reporting.
