The National Association of Home Builders is seeking a skilled and professional individual to provide administrative support for the daily operations of the Government Affairs department, which includes Federal Legislative Affairs, Intergovernmental Affairs and NAHB’s political action committee, BUILD-PAC. The Staff Assistant provides support to all areas, including budget support (processing expense reports and purchase order requests), event planning, and meeting support.
Qualified candidates will be able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure. Candidates should also be be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of staff and members are essential. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and one to two years of general administrative experience with at least one year of experience in the following: government affairs, experience on Capitol Hill, campaign work, public relations, or related field. Candidates should be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
