Summary of Position:
The Manager of Retail Operations is responsible for supporting the execution of RILA’s asset protection, supply chain, digital and other retail operations strategies. We are looking for someone who is excited about the industry, has a can-do attitude and values customer service. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Retail Operations and is based in Arlington, Virginia right above the Rosslyn Metro Station.

Manage several asset protection committees, including developing call/meeting agendas, facilitating discussions among retailer participants and identifying/driving priority initiatives
Provide key support to direct supervisor and to VP of Supply Chain in connection with their managing of other asset protection, supply chain, and digital committees
Assist in developing and ensuring high-quality content of the educational programs for annual Retail Asset Protection and Retail Supply Chain Conferences
Manage Asset Protection and Supply Chain Conferences’ graduate and college student programs
Manage Asset Protection Conference innovation awards program, including developing communications to applicants, overseeing application review process, setting judging criteria and ensuring integrity of judging process
Communicate with key retail executives, solution provider partners and other external stakeholders to drive Retail Operations agenda and initiatives
Assist in producing written communications on activities and research (e.g. newsletters, issue briefs, committee memoranda, research reports, industry articles, etc.)
Assist Retail Operations team in committee coordination and meeting planning/logistics, including meeting signage orders and proofing, shipping materials, on-site room setup for handouts and materials, and other responsibilities, as assigned
Assist the research team in the development of benchmarking surveys, data analysis and summary reports
Attend Retail Operations conferences, committee meetings. and other industry events
Follow/monitor retail industry landscape and developments, including relevant trade publications, to identify key trends and priority topics
Education, Skills and Experience:
Four (4) year college degree required.
Experience in retail, asset protection or supply chain preferred.
Ability to meet deadlines, manage time well and perform job responsibilities without constant supervision.
Professional demeanor and comfortable working and communicating with top level executives.
Ability to problem-solve and maintain composure under pressure.
Strong customer service mentality with a proactive and positive attitude.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
Exceptional attention to detail, quality and accuracy.
Excellent proofreading skills.
Proficiency with standard desktop software including all Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to travel to meetings and conferences
Ability to work with immediate supervisor who is based remotely
