Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Inc. (FCCLA) is seeking a highly motivated and organized candidate to fill a new full time staff position who will serve as the Support Specialist. The Support Specialist will be responsible for providing support to FCCLA in addressing specific areas of opportunity. This position will work to define and identify FCCLA at risk states and provide technical support for those states to build a platform of communication and support for identified states. The support specialist will also be responsible for securing necessary volunteers for competitive events and meetings at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference and National Cluster Meetings to be able to continue to provide services needed for these events. The third area of support concentration will be on building and implementing a teacher/adviser recruitment outreach project to support the Say Yes to FCS campaign. Two additional areas of support will be to assist in building a business and industry advisory council and support advocacy efforts. The Support Specialist is responsible for areas assigned and will report directly to the Executive Director.
Experience: 5-7 years of related experience to include administrative, support services, volunteer recruitment, and program development. Supervisory experience necessary. Ability to support various needs and work directly with key state leaders to ensure communication and programmatic needs are met. Experience in building and supporting campaigns with successful goal outcomes delivered. Ability to provide insight to build new and creative resources to help maintain growth and connection to members and industry leaders.
