Association management firm in Washington, DC seeks highly motivated individual to provide membership and project support. Managing membership engagement (analyzing member statistics, coming up with plans and processes for membership department, working with Education and Membership Director)
Focusing on membership growth (outreach, promotion)
Developing Board metrics and reporting (looking at current reporting and finding new and better ways to report information to the Board; potentially in person as requested).
Main client liaison for iMIS (being point person and lead on iMIS projects and issues)
Review of new member applications
Work with Education and Membership Director on member communications and marketing materials
Management of Processing Manager
Create reports to track effectiveness of member recruitment and retention, communication and marketing plans, and social media engagement
Conduct surveys and focus groups of members when appropriate to gauge member and prospective options
Oversee data quality and integrity of the membership database
Work with outsourced marketing firm to produce membership marketing materials
Participate in networking events to drive member engagement
Respond to member and prospective member inquires through email, telephone and web
Manage membership accounts receivables process with membership services team to ensure timely payment of dues.
Manage Board meeting membership reports and presentation with quarterly and annual update on membership recruitment, retention and engagement
Provide membership marketing content for event marketing to drive attendance and membership for events
Act as on-site liaison for education in the membership booth to promote Foundation programs and services for events
Serve as staff liaison to committees as assigned including but not limited to Membership, Development, Awards and Bright Design
Promote Foundation programs and events through membership marketing programs that meet budgeted financial goals for the Foundation
Provide project and administrative support as needed
A minimum of three years’ experience in office environment, working with membership
Experience in iMIS
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Excellent customer service and ability to work with members in person, on the phone and electronically
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple projects
Exceptional problem solving capabilities and resourceful under pressure
Ability to work both in a team environment and operate independently
There is minimal travel anticipated for this position.
This is a largely sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
