The PHCC—National Association is the oldest trade association in the construction industry—and the premiere organization for the p-h-c professional. Since 1883, PHCC has been the leader in promotion, advancement, education and training. Today, PHCC has more than 3,500 contractor members from open and union shops, who work in the residential, commercial, new construction, industrial and service and repair industry segments.
The Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support for several divisions of PHCC: the PHCC Educational Foundation, the Legislative Affairs department, and the Regulatory Affairs department. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
PHCC Educational Foundation:
Fundraising data entry of contribution records and generation of donor acknowledgements.
Data entry for scholarship program and initial reviews of applicant submissions against qualification criteria.
General support for board meetings and educational workshops with production of handouts, name badge, graduation certificates, etc.
Assist with finding graphics and multimedia content for newsletters and social media efforts.
Content creation for social media.
Logistical assistance with annual Legislative Conference, including:
Making association member appointment with congressional offices.
Keeping the schedule of appointments current amid frequent updates and changes.
Assisting onsite at D.C. based conference with registration.
Assist with PAC gift acknowledgements.
Assist with layout of newsletter content and electronic distribution.
Assist with the Regulatory Affairs department with general administrative support.
High school diploma.
Associates Degree preferred and with an emphasis on business administration desirable.
Minimum 3 years of experience handling a varied range of administrative-related responsibilities; and experience within an association is desirable.
Data entry and Microsoft Excel experience required.
Experience in graphic design/marketing desired.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Superior organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
Can handle multiple priorities and ability to work efficiently under pressure/deadlines.
Excellent phone etiquette.
Practical knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and online survey tools. Microsoft Excel experience required.
Ability to coordinate meetings and activities/events.
Ability to find suitable images to match content for social media posts and newsletters.
Ability to craft content & posts for social media.
Prior experience with NetForum or another membership database preferred.
Experience in graphical design/marketing a plus.
