As our Communications Coordinator, you will coordinate all communications, publications, electronic, social media, and public relations messages and collateral to ensure they consistently articulate the mission of the Virginia Nurses Association (VNA) and the Virginia Nurses Foundation (VNF).
As our Communications Coordinator, you’ll get to:
Coordinate, write, and edit print and electronic communications Maintain our organization’s social media accounts, including necessary content creation and curation Measure and report monthly on the effectiveness of communications activities Maintain the VNA website, including writing copy, transitioning/cleaning current data, and creation of online forms, pages and sections. Coordinate yearly awards program Assist with other external and internal communications duties as needed Coordinate media requests and follow up while serving as media contact as necessary.

You have 1-3 years of communications experience. A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or PR is required and association experience preferred.

You’re a team player and you prefer every day to be a little different. We’ll need you to jump in right away and get your hands dirty.
You can easily manage multiple initiatives simultaneously without constant supervision.
You are confident with Office suite, website content management, email marketing, and social media platforms. Comfort with Adobe products is a huge plus.
